Wasn’t Merlo Here in the U.S. Previously?

Merlo machines were previously sold under a third-party distributor, using the Merlo name, to an expanded dealer network. Merlo America represents the first time that the U.S. market is directly supported by the manufacturer.

What is different about Merlo America?

Previously, Merlo telehandlers were sold and supported by a third-party distributor using the Merlo name. Merlo America is an official division of Merlo and is backed by the Merlo global brand and the Merlo family, who still own the company today.

Beyond a domestic headquarters, Merlo America brings a new leadership team and commitment to our U.S. partners. First, we have established the Merlo hotline, a one-stop resource for dealers and customers who can contact us for critical support or feedback. We have also expanded our training programs to better support dealers’ technical support and service capabilities.

What is Merlo Direct? Are you competing with your Dealers now?

No– we are committed to partnering with you and will drive all customer support through the Merlo Dealer network. As we establish and grow the network nationwide, we are offering a stop-gap initiative called Merlo Direct. If a customer needs parts, service, or technical support, we will help them identify their closest dealer. If one isn’t available within 150 miles, only then will Merlo America provide support through Merlo Direct.
